Loop of Pain

Hot. Very hot day at the races.

Riders were doing their rounds by the time I arrived.

Carbon was the flavour of the day. Lots of carbon-ated stuff lying everywhere.

There was enough carbon fiber and precision parts to put a F1 car to shame.

Some donned alien-like helmets, using their outer space technology to shave off some milliseconds.

Others used handlebars that looked like it came off an X-wing Starfighter.

One gear, no coasting and no brakes to do 12 km.

Rather uneventful and uninspiring to go fast due to the absence of traffic.
The only parts exciting to mention were the U-turn and the sprint to the finish.

True test of fitness and endurance. Brains optional.

Don't think. Just spin.

Less cursing compared to riding the streets. Only twice in fact.
First was, "Where the bloody hell is that U-turn?"
Second one for the finish line.

A cool experience nevertheless.

I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Spot the not.

Honey... The shade is blocking my bike's shine.

Carbon X-wing Starfighter.

I'm telling you, go any faster and you can do intergalactic travel.

Ha, eat your heart out.

Don't try anything funny back there.

Shit, I can't move.

Ah, there's your problem.

Carbon rings.

Alien heads. World Champ suit.

Told you, pain.

Fancy my BT?

Yea, he does.

G'day mate.
