PUNK'D!

Don't park your bike within NYP's school building even if it's raining bloody cows outside.
Won't be long before the mighty PICO boys come get you.

And no, that's not an excuse.

Notice how the "Thank You" is strategically positioned for maximum outrage.

Fixed and singlespeed category for upcoming road criterium on 24th Feb.
Need the numbers to make it happen.
Show off your mean machine to those carbon-ated multi-gears!

PHWOARR!

Ordered a Chrome backpack and just received it yesterday. It is GARGANTUOUS.
I don't know what CAN'T fit in there.

Extra hook-straps to secure
big packages

First impression when I took it out of the box was, oh lord, what have I done.
It is much bigger than how it looks on the Chrome website.
Top portion is similar to Chrome's Messenger sling bags.

The Good
Lots of pockets to put your stuff. One or two secret stash pockets too.
Stitch work is top class, as you would expect from Chrome.
Zippers look like they could hold your weight.
Well water-proofed. What is in stays in, what is out stays out.
Buckles and straps look bomb-proof.
Looks as if it could last you a lifetime. Or surpass your lifetime.

The Bad
No key clip for easy location.
No dedicated hook for blinker.
All that industrial strength stuff makes it rather heavy.

In My Opinion..
The Chrome Backbone is not that practical for daily-use.
Unless you are a courier of course.
But even so, you'd need to be transporting big parcels.
Too big and clumsy if you use it for normal purposes.
Would recommend it's smaller brother, the Ranchero.
But still, a damn cool bag to have!

One Speed Culture

It's like a subject. Something you have to learn and practise. Constantly honing your skills. There's so much to know about.

You get satisfaction after pulling off a trick, no matter how simple.
There's always a new experience everyday.

Quite a bit of technicalities to it. Calculations, measurements, weight issues. There's the theoretical aspect and practical aspect to it.

How much you understand depends on how much you want to understand.

You fail and fall, but you get back up again (looking like it's no biggie).

It's applicable to the real world. You learn, and you pass it on.

Welcome, people, to fyxomatics.
